Wapikoni Mobile is growing!!!

We are now looking for a dynamic, sociable and organized person to take up the new position of Administrative Assistant within our team.

Wapikoni is more in demand than ever and we are looking for a nice and methodical employee to manage a high influx of requests by forwarding them to other members of the team while welcoming visitors, answering calls and emails and handling the mail.

Do you enjoy clerical work (maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, being the liaison with the building owner, indexing and archiving documents)?

Do you like logistical tasks (organizing business trips: liaison with travel agencies, booking hotels and vehicles, preparing files, tracking expenses)?

Do you enjoy administrative tasks (handling petty cash and checks under the supervision of the administrative team)?

Do you have more than one trick up your sleeve to solve minor technical and technological irritations (IT support, the copy machine's various moods...)?

Do you enjoy organizing special events (booking venues and overseeing expenses for ad-hoc activities)?

Do you think you'd like using Facebook to keep in touch with Wapikoni's friends, post professional development opportunities and share a number of amazing activities?

And could you do all this with a smile???

Then you are the rare gem we are looking for! We need a nice, reassuring and reliable presence to greet us each morning and help us bring all of our wonderful projects to fruition.

SKILLS NEEDED
  • Vocational Studies diploma in Secretarial Studies (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a similar position
  • Fluency in French and English; Spanish and an Indigenous language would be great assets
  • Proficiency with MS Office
QUALITIES & ASSETS NEEDED

Organizational skills, flexibility, patience, speed of execution, autonomy, resourcefulness, ability to work under pressure and with a team, general culture, intercultural adaptability, knowledge of Indigenous environments in Quebec and Canada (an asset), knowledge of the cinema industry (an asset), understanding of how NPOs operate (an asset).

WORKING CONDITIONS
Location: Montreal 
Schedule: 4 days/week (30 hours)
Hourly Wage : $16.50
Annual leave: 3 weeks upon hire
Group Insurance Plan after a six-month probation period
