Congratulations to Mélina Quitich Niquay, Marie Kristine Petiquay, Marie-Josée MJ Tremblay, Jemmy Echaquan Dubé et Simon Riverin who took part in Montreal workshop given by Françoise Lavoie-Pilote in collaboration with UQAM's Media School (École des médias de l’UQAM) and UQAM's Community Services.
During the 10-day workshop, students had to direct a short experimental film using light painting (or light drawing), a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure.
The workshop ended with a screening on October 27, 2017. A $100 giftcard from L. Lozeau was awarded to the director of the best short, namely Simon Riverin (seen right on the above picture). Congratulations to everyone and we hope you'll continue to make great films!
