Logbook 1 - Montreal 2016

// Jemmy Echaquan Dubé

It’s already been a week since the Montreal stopover began! Despite an unusual chilly weather for June, the excitement of a new adventure is palpable!

On the first day, we already had the visit of Fred Cheezo, who is working on a great documentary project about the heavy metal scene in Montreal. We later met a newcomer and multidisciplinary artist, Jean Roucau-Métail, who wants to explore an experimental imagery for his art film. Former members of Wapikoni, Melissa Mollen Dupuis, MJ Tremblay and Ray Caplin, will also make a film during this workshop.

We, therefore, have six projects in pre-production (including the making-of) and we still have space for two additional projects. For those interested, please contact us by June 20th to submit your candidature. First come, first served!

It's interesting to see all these artists sharing their ideas and experiences. I continue to discover their talents and I find it very exciting! The weather is now warming up and, with this new heat wave, another exciting and productive week is on its way...
