San Juan de Chito is a Quechua community located at 3,600m above sea level in the Ayacucho region. Here, in the middle of the beautiful Andes, begins my first Peruvian stop with Soledad and Bladimir, two communicators of the organization CHIRAPAQ. We get beautiful warm sunny days and, surprisingly, very cold nights. It’s not easy for the body, but the landscape and people of Chito quickly help you to forget all that. In all, 12 young Quechua participate in this workshop. I cannot wait to see the themes and results of the films that will be made with the community as it starts its second Wapikoni experience.
