A 24-year-old mother of 3 young children, Claudia lives in Santa Rosa de Chanen, one of the communities of the provincia Vilcas Huamán, department of Ayacucho, Peru. She and her family practice subsistence farming. Married to an indigenous communicator, she herself is the leader of her community’s women organization, driving women to come to know their rights and to defend them. She perceives the audiovisual as an opportunity to strengthen women. In Maribel and Claudia’s case, this year has seen their first participation to an audiovisual training process come to life. Amongst their indigenous young colleagues, together they succeeded in creating short film, Sara tarpuy.
