From Manawan, Élisa Moar studied photography at Cegep. She is an enthusiast of special effects and image transformation, and she dreams of immersing us in strange and phantasmagoric universes. She directed her first experimental film, Marées (Tides) , in 2012. She participated in a training in film editing and script writing at UQAM. Her favorite pastime, when she is inspired, is to explore the Photoshop software. She participated in several training and fieldwork session in the area of movie making. En 2014, she was an assistant trainer for Wapikoni mobile. In 2017, she added to the list of her productions a film entitled “Wapikoni” (Flower), a visual poem that explores the themes of femininity and maternity.
