This 23-year-old young woman lives in San Juan de Chito, a small village nestled in the province of Vilcas Huamán, department of Ayacucho, Peru. She is currently pursuing her higher education in Technical Agriculture and Livestock at the Instituto San Juan, located in the capital of the province. She also helps her mother on the farm, tending to the land and animals. She took part in both phase one and two of the audiovisual training process, directing her debut short film, Waka Qiruy – The Herranza, in 2013. She feels that the audiovisual is a medium that is worth using to preserve knowledge and to raise awareness among the villagers.
