Bear's Prayer


Synopsis

Utilizing the mole and the bear helpers, Randy Williams takes us through a small taste the of ceremonial practices that are a special part of the Shuswap people's culture. He also provides a brief history as to why some of the practices have been lost. The prayer’s were used as a means of asking for the truth to be uncovered in regards to missing and murdered indigenous women. Shortly after the prayer and shooting of this film, evidence came forward which led to authorities finding the remains of one of the missing and murdered indigenous women.
