PACHAMAMA KAWSAY QUWAQNINCHIK (Mother Earth Who Gives Us Life)

Synopsis

For the Andean indigenous people of Peru, the relationship with Mother Earth is a synonym of respect and reciprocity, since she is the one who gives life and provides food diversity. Pachamama Kawsay Quwaqninchik pictures the gratitude offered to Mother Earth through an offering ceremony on top of a sacred montain, where she is thanked for the fruits she has bestowed, and asked the permission to teach the oxen how to plow the fields so that the culture can go on on the land.
